The night I dared to show almost everything in a swingers club

I've always loved lingerie. Not just to seduce Adrien, even if his gaze matters enormously to me. I love what it awakens in the way I hold myself, walk, and look at myself in a mirror. It doesn't necessarily hide my insecurities, but it sometimes lets me forget them. It brings out another version of me: bolder, more sensual, almost insolent. Yet the night I decided to wear only a sheer bodysuit to go to a swingers club, I felt much less confident than I had imagined. It was a very low-cut bodysuit, almost completely sheer. My breasts were visible without really being able to be hidden. In front of the mirror, I loved what I saw, but I also felt exposed. There was this immense excitement mixed with a nearly dizzying vulnerability. Part of me wanted to put a dress back on over it and never take it off. Another part wanted to walk into the club like that, fully owning this woman I saw in the reflection. When I caught Adrien's eye, I felt my stomach tighten. He was shaken, terribly turned on, but his look was anything but rough. He looked at me as if I were the most beautiful woman of the evening before it had even begun. Once inside the swingers club, all my senses seemed heightened. The music pulsed harder, the lights caressed my skin more, and every movement of air over my body sent shivers through me. I had butterflies in my stomach like I did at twenty, before a first meeting, when you still don't know whether you'll dare to get close, kiss, or simply stay a few centimeters apart. I felt as if I were rediscovering anticipation, shyness, impatience, and that almost teenage intoxication that everyday life sometimes ends up softening. And yet I was there with the man who shared my life. That is perhaps what made the feeling so strong: I was living something new without losing the security of what we had built together. People looked at me, and I could feel it. I'm not going to pretend it bothered me. I like being looked at. I like sensing desire in other people's eyes, feeling that an outfit creates hesitation or that a man looks away before daring to look again. But that night, nothing was pushy. No one followed me, no one imposed themselves, and no smile was read as a promise. In this swingers club, I was showing much more of my body than I would in a regular nightclub, but I strangely felt less exposed. Adrien didn't need to play the guardian. He's not particularly jealous and he knew those looks pleased me. All evening, he treated me like a princess. He stayed attentive without being possessive, close without locking me inside our relationship. His desire gave me confidence. The way he looked at me made other people's gazes even more unsettling, because I knew I could enjoy them without it creating a debt or tension between us. I liked being desired, but I remained free to give nothing. My bodysuit said I wanted to be sensual. It didn't say with whom, how far, or for how long. That may be one of the clearest things swinging has taught me: being looked at is not being available. Being almost naked is not being offered. Then Adrien took an initiative I hadn't entirely expected, even though he had known this fantasy for a long time. He invited a man to join us in a more intimate space. As soon as I understood his intention, I felt a new wave wash over me. My heart was beating so hard I felt as if my whole body were following its rhythm. The man was shy. That hesitation, far from killing the desire, made every moment more intense. Adrien reassured him, gently indicating that he could come closer or place his hand, while continuing to seek my gaze. Nothing was rushed. Each gesture seemed to last longer than it really did. I could feel shivers running over my skin, my breath shortening, and the butterflies returning to my stomach with a force I'd almost forgotten. I didn't feel as if Adrien were giving my body to someone. I felt as if he were helping me open the door to a fantasy we had chosen to live together. He created a framework in which the other man could be gentle, where I could surrender to my sensations without ever losing my ability to slow down or stop everything. That night, in that swingers club, I understood that freedom did not come from the little fabric I was wearing. It came from the certainty that every glance, every approach and every gesture would remain suspended by my desire. I was wearing almost nothing. And yet I had never felt so respected, so desired, and so sovereign.
