Swingers meet-up: how do you find the right people?

« Look at this profile… What do you think? »

The phone changes hands. We look at the photo, read the bio, then go back to the photo. With a seriousness almost admirable for two people who, a few minutes earlier, were saying « we're just looking ».

The desire is there. But behind the attraction, one question remains. Would we feel comfortable with these people?

That's exactly what came through in the feedback to our poll after the first article on consent and safety. Finding respectful people you can feel at ease with.

So, let's talk about swingers connections on WishPride. From the first profile that catches your eye to the moment when you no longer just want to read their messages, but hear their voice.

Where do you meet swingers when you don't know anyone?

Clubs, parties and drinks to get acquainted are all avenues worth exploring. But you may also want to start slowly, without having to find your words in the middle of a dance floor.

On WishPride, you can come to seduce, get to know people and find swinger partners. Profiles, posts, comments, groups and messaging offer several ways to start a conversation. projectbrief

A photo catches your eye. Then you discover a testimonial you relate to, or a reply that makes you laugh. You already have something to say to each other.

That's an interesting option when you're looking for a swingers dating site without wanting to put everything on a photo and three preferences.

And online conversations don't stop you from going out. They can even make you want to grab a first drink, then discover a night out together.

Same fantasy, but not necessarily the same night

Imagine two couples both writing « want a foursome meet-up ».

The first would like a one-off adventure. The second is looking for partners they'd be happy to see again. Some imagine a very spontaneous evening. Others want to meet first, go home and talk about it as a couple.

The starting point seems identical. The encounter being considered is much less so.

Before comparing all your preferences, ask a more lively question.

« What does a successful evening with new partners look like to you? »

The answer might mention dancing, seduction, the pleasure of staying close to your partner, or taking the time to get to know the other person.

Your bio can already open up that conversation. Rather than a string of « nice, open-minded, respectful », give an idea of the moment you'd like to share.

« We'd like to meet another couple, have a drink and see whether the attraction is mutual. We like dancing, teasing each other and dates we don't want to cut short. »

You haven't told everything. But you've made someone want to ask a question.

A first message that makes them want to reply

You like the profile. Now you have to write.

Good news: no one expects you to become a poet between two notifications. You can even say you're not quite sure how to begin. But give your message a reason to land in that person's inbox rather than fifty others.

Bounce off what they've chosen to share, with a touch of open interest.

« You mention dancing in your bio. We share that taste... and your smiles made us want to write to you. Do you have a favorite kind of night out? »

A personal reference, a compliment, a question. No need to send your autobiography and a questionnaire about everyone's preferences at the same time.

Then let the conversation take shape. Reply, tell them a bit about yourself too. A joke comes back, you start teasing each other, you find a way to keep the exchange going.

And there you are, smiling at your phone.

You're no longer just looking for a swingers connection. You're starting to want to meet these people.

Trust shows up in the little things

You explain that you're new to this. The person asks what attracts you, instead of explaining everything they are going to teach you.

You had mentioned your preference for a quiet place. When it's time to suggest a meet-up, they remember.

You say you'd simply like to get to know each other first. The conversation continues with the same humor, the same interest.

Those are concrete things to look out for. Not just big declarations about respect, but the way your words find a place in the exchange.

On WishPride, conversation badges also let people salute respect, listening, or low-pressure exchanges. They reflect an appreciated conversation, not a guarantee about someone's behavior. DBML

And feeling comfortable doesn't mean you have to become as prim and proper as a picture. You can talk about what you want, make a more direct compliment, let a little excitement show through.

You can seduce without pretending to be more experienced or bolder than you are. A « I like you, and I'm a little nervous » also has a place.

In threes or fours, no one is just a background player

When you meet a couple, you may click very quickly with one person, and need a little more time with the other. Attraction isn't calculated by averaging the four.

Before setting a date, take the time to talk it over between you. « What about them makes you want to meet them? » The answer deserves better than a distracted agreement while the other person is typing.

In your exchanges, let everyone take part too. The person holding the phone is not necessarily the official spokesperson for all the couple's desires.

And when a single person joins you, take an interest in what they would like to experience too. Not just the place they might occupy in your idea of the evening.

It is not necessary for everyone to feel the exact same attraction. On the other hand, everyone should be able to choose the encounter for their own reasons, not just to please others.

The first date, when the profile comes to life

After all that back-and-forth, another curiosity appears. What does their laugh sound like? Will you find that same chemistry face to face?

Suggest something simple.

« We'd love to keep this conversation going over a drink. Would you be up for that? »

For this first date, choose a public place, keep your independence for getting home, and let someone you trust know.

Then make room for discovery.

There may be a few seconds of awkwardness, while you recognize a face as something other than a photo. A joke already exchanged might come back. You'll notice a voice, a way of smiling, a look you'll want to see again during the conversation.

You're coming to see how you feel together, not to carry out an evening already scripted in messages.

Sometimes, you enjoy the moment without feeling the attraction you hoped for. You can say so plainly. Sometimes, you leave with a very specific desire to see each other again.

And then the follow-up message has very little to do with the first.

« We really enjoyed meeting you. Shall we do it again soon? »
